Long lasting: Leather is incredibly tough compared to other materials and vegan leathers. This wallet is designed to last for at least a decade, how many vegan wallets would you go through in that same time that would end up in the landfill?
Natural material: A lot of "vegan" leather options are made from hydro-chemicals, other plastics or forever chemicals. My leather is fully biodegradable unlike the plastic alternatives that will take 10,000 years to break down.
Meat industry by product: The demand for meat worldwide is several times higher than the demand for leather. My cows aren't killed for their hide and would end up in a landfill if the leather isn't used. Don't support the production of more bio-hazardous waste, eat less meat, use more leather.
Tanning: made with the natural vegetable tanning process using roots, leaves or oak. No harmful chromium salts.
No VOC dye: The leather is left undyed in it's natural state so that no harmful VOC chemicals are used.
Thread: Instead of using plastic thread like polyester, traditional and natural linen thread is used. The thread is additionally waxed with natural beeswax instead of petroleum based products.
Glue: A water based adhesive is used which is environmentally friendly compared to solvent based alternatives.
Edge coat: Natural gum tragacanth is used to polish the edges. Natural beeswax is further used to enhance the shine, making it comparable to using acrylic based products.
UK made: Because it's made fully by me in the UK, by buying this product you don't support paying substandard wages to workers in developing countries with questionable labour regulations.
10 year warranty: The leather is designed to last at least 10 years, so if the glue or stitching fail, it's an easy repair and will be done for free, extending the life of the wallet for even longer.
Patina: the wallet will darken and age with time, showing it's journey as you use it, making it as distinct as you.
Mountainous and river design: the unique layout designed by me showcases the connection to nature in this wallet and features the UK on the back shell, highlighting the UK origin.
